The Leticia & Eduardo Azar Foundation proudly celebrates another milestone in its mission to transform lives. After months of dedicated work, the Foundation has completed the construction of four additional homes for vulnerable families in Arusha, Tanzania.
These newly built homes not only provide a safe and dignified space for families but are also equipped with solar panels, ensuring sustainable access to electricity. As part of our ongoing commitment, we have already built 22 homes, and this initiative further highlights the Foundation’s dedication to sustainable development and improving living conditions in underserved communities.
Impact That Changes Lives
With these homes, four families more now have a secure place to grow, dream, and build a brighter future. The installed solar panels enable access to basic energy and lighting, a significant advancement for rural areas like Arusha.
This achievement is just the beginning. The Leticia & Eduardo Azar Foundation reaffirms its commitment to working for the most vulnerable communities, bringing hope and opportunities to those who need them most.
A Broader Mission in Action
During a recent visit to Tanzania, Yossi Swerdlov, CEO of the Foundation, worked on a groundbreaking initiative to address one of the most pressing challenges for communities near Arusha: access to clean water. A new agreement signed with local authorities and a water company will bring a reliable water supply to a nearby village. For villagers who have long relied on rivers or distant water points, this development marks a transformative step toward better health and well-being.
Beyond Infrastructure: Empowering Children
Swerdlov’s trip also included visits to orphanages and schools that have received ongoing support from the Foundation. In these orphanages, the Foundation has funded essential resources such as furniture, food, and fuel. Beyond meeting immediate needs, the Foundation is investing in the future by covering educational costs for several orphans, allowing them to attend private schools and access quality education. These efforts aim to empower the next generation with opportunities they might not otherwise have.
Through projects like these, the Foundation reaffirms its commitment to creating sustainable change and improving lives in underserved regions.
