Leticia and Eduardo Azar were deeply moved by the desolate images left behind by Hurricane Beryl after its passage through Jamaica. Therefore, through their Foundation, they did not hesitate for a second to make themselves available to Chabad of Jamaica to offer assistance and relief to those affected by the disaster.<\/span><\/p>\n

The hurricane caused the death of at least ten people in the Caribbean and left innumerable considerable material damages. Faced with this situation, the Leticia & Eduardo Azar Foundation decided to make a financial donation to Chabad in Jamaica to provide essential resources such as water, flour, oil, generators, tarps, building materials, and other crucial necessities so that the community can gradually return to normal.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chabad of Jamaica was very grateful for the Foundation’s contribution, aimed at supporting both Jewish and non-Jewish residents affected.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We are profoundly grateful for your commitment to our cause and for standing with us in solidarity. Your support not only helps in the immediate recovery efforts but also strengthens the bonds of compassion and unity within our community,” the community said in a letter sent to the Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The funds will be used to deploy 4 volunteer bachurim to the areas most affected by the hurricane, specifically Santa Isabel and Manchester. Their main objective is to provide building materials, such as zinc sheets, for the reconstruction of homes, as well as to install water tanks to ensure access to clean water. In addition, they will focus on restoring basic infrastructure and providing food and water to impoverished communities in the region.<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout these activities, Sheva Mitzvos booklets will be distributed to provide spiritual support and encouragement to affected residents, thus contributing to both their material and emotional recovery.<\/span><\/p>\n

This approach seeks to ensure that efforts have an efficient impact by addressing immediate needs and aiding in long-term recovery.<\/span><\/p>\n

Once again, as in Ukraine, Morocco or Israel, the Leticia & Eduardo Azar Foundation is present to provide assistance and hope to populations affected by natural disasters, crisis situations and wars.<\/p>\n
