x3 every dollar is matched x3 by the government
3,155 babies receive baby formula monthly
30,000 people helped each month
The National Food Security Project is Israel’s first-ever public-private partnership to address the food security needs of Israel’s poorest. Colel Chabad is responsible for covering 28% of the costs, while the government contributes the remaining 72%.
Every month, Colel Chabad provides needy families with food cards (usable at all major local grocery stores) to purchase groceries and basic household items. Additionally, the government has introduced a million-dollar matching grant to assist new mothers in need of baby formula, matching dollar-for-dollar for 3,155 babies.
