The Dnepr Yeshiva was established in 2013 by the Azar family to provide the children of Ukraine’s Shluchim a place to study locally rather than sending them to Israel and America.

With the onslaught of the Russian invasion in February 2022, it was no longer safe for the Yeshiva to remain in Ukraine. The Yeshiva made an emergency evacuation and moved to Düsseldorf, Germany, where it has continued to flourish.

The Yeshiva and dormitories in Dnepr have now become a temporary refuge center, assisting refugees and giving them a place to stay until alternative plans can be made.
